His official AKC name was "Penmorgan's Chelsea Dylan". He was named after Dylan Thomas, the famous Welsh poet, who lived for a time at the Chelsea Hotel just down the street. He spent most of his time sleeping, herding us and the neighbors, watching John work at the computer, and guarding the front door. He attended tech rehearsals occasionally and preferred either an orchestra seat with a good view of the stage or a nice large space on top of the tech table. He spent a week with us at the O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, where he had his first romp at the beach; here's his happy self immediately afterwards: |

The show we were doing was a new music hall revue called "The School of Jolly Dogs" and although he wasn't in it, he watched and enjoyed every performance, charming the cast, crew, and audience. Another passion of Dylan's was BALLS -- big, small, tennis, or blue; this one was taken by my sister Alice: |

He was a great and noble friend and is greatly missed by us all -
We built a new terrace for him uphill of the barn, he's resting peacefully under the middle of it, just under where his name is engraved in the stone on the lower level:
