The pages here answer 95% of all questions, please look through them before reporting a new bug or calling for technical support. I'm happy to talk to you, but you're probably in a hurry and will be happier getting an immediate answer.

Note: Lightwright works perfectly fine under Windows 2000, but if you have a very early version 3, the installer may not recognize it and will ask you to download a Windows Service Pack. Ignore that mesage. Instead, download the current version of Lightwright and all will be well.

Current Lightwright Versions are:

Windows, Version 4.1.8, released December 28, 2007
Macintosh, Version 4.1.9, released December 28, 2007

Note that 4.1.9 is newer than 4.0.9 and 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 and 4.1.4 and 4.1.5 and 4.1.6 and 4.1.7 and 4.1.8

The format of Layouts changed beginning with version 4.0.4, so any layouts you create using 4.0.4 or later can only be opened by version 4.0.4 or later.

To get the current version, go to the Downloads area of this web site. Note that you must be a registered user of LW4 in order to use version 4.

If you are using Lightwright 4 for Windows and double-clicking a show file starts Lightwright but fails to open the file, you need to download and run the Double-Click Fix.
