Lightwright 4 Upgrade Information

Any individual or institution who purchased or upgraded to Lightwright 3 after December 31, 2002 is eligible for a free upgrade to Version 4 until January 1, 2004. After January 1, 2004, you must pay for the upgrade.

Other current owners of a registered copy of Lightwright 3 are eligible for a special discount price on an upgrade to Lightwright 4. You must be able to supply a valid version 3 serial number and must register version 4 in the same name and in the same kind of license.

The upgrade discount is not available to Lightwright users who did not buy or upgrade to version 3 prior to the release of Lightwright 4.

New Minimum System Requirements!

Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP or later, Macintosh OSX 10.2.6 (Jaguar) or later
256MB of physical RAM miniumum, 512MB preferred, 1GB for very large shows
Monitor resolution 800x600, thousands or millions of colors

Lightwright is being sold exclusively by City Theatrical dealers, not by John McKernon Software. To find the City Theatrical dealer nearest you, visit their web site at http://www.citytheatrical.com or give them a call at 718-292-7932. Be sure to ask for the Upgrade, not the regular package.

If your City Theatrical dealer says they do not know anything about Lightwright, here are the City Theatrical Part Numbers:

Individual Upgrade to Lightwright 4, Part No. 3860, list price $174.50
Institutional Upgrade to Lightwright 4, Part No. 3865, list price $349.00

Version 4 includes both Mac and Windows versions of both Lightwright 4 and Beamwright 4.

Version 4 can read version 2 & 3 show files and can export version 4 show files back to versions 2 and 3 formats, but because versions 2 and 3 don't understand any of the new categories or features in LW4, none of the data outside of what versions 2 and 3 can use will transfer backwards.

Part of the information that you are required to provide on the upgrade registration form is your Lightwright 3 serial number. If you are not the legally registered licensee of the serial number you provide, you will not receive an approval code and you will have wasted whatever money you spent on the upgrade.

To find your current Lightwright serial number, watch the program's title page when it starts, or choose the "About Lightwright" menu selection.

Please note: If you are using an Institutional copy of Lightwright, only the person in charge of the overall registration should register the upgrade. There is only one registration form for each upgrade package.
